Looking Slim
Every woman wants to look fit, slim and sexy. But if you are on the heavier side, don't despair. You can also look attractive by following a few fashion techniques.
10 Ways to Dress Slimmer
- Wear wide leg pants:
The wide leg style creates a nice straight line, creating the illusion of longer legs. This, in turn, makes you look taller. Whereas cuffed pants tend to make your short legs look shorter.
- Wear bootcut or slightly flared jeans:
Bootcut jeans, and jeans with a slight flare, look good on every body type. But go for long clean lines, that create a soft silhouette.
- Don't get mistaken by the size on display:
We often tend to go by the size on the tag in the shop, and not the fit. Different stores have different sizes, so try the dress, you are buying in the store, to see if it really fits you.
- Longer pants :
Make sure that your pants are long enough that they cover most of your shoe.. The longer, the better. Long lines create the illusion of long legs which in turn gives a slimmer look.
- Pointed toe shoes :
Pointed toe shoes make you look slimmer, whereas Rounded toe shoes tend to make legs look stumpy.
- Dark colors:
Dark colors look very slimming. If you're wearing dark pants, pair them with a bright top.
- Don't buy clingy stuff :
When shopping for pants, look for pants made of heavier fabrics so they don't cling to your legs. If the fabrics cling to your legs, they will showcase all the flaws. Look for fabrics that are light and flowy.
- Focus on your assets:
If you have great legs, go for a full knee length skirt. If you've got great arms, go for sleeveless tops. If you have got a great waist, wear a blazer that clings at the waist.
- Back pockets on the pant:
Pockets can either make your hips look bigger or slim it down. Look for jeans that have decent size pockets. Pockets that are too tiny make your bottom look huge. Look for cargo flap pockets or bigger pockets that are situated lower on the jeans to make your bottom look higher.
- Choose the right shape:
Some dresses can create a tent effect and give you a shapeless look and add pounds to your already heavy body. Choose the right shape and size.
